Whistler opening weekend training camp
May long weekend was amazing! The team was there for the Whistler bike park opening day. Coen was stoked to ride with the entire ZEP Racing team for the first time. Everyone was totally amped up. While Coen was busy taking pics with the team, Madison was already front of the line heading for the lift. During the long weekend, Madison rode with girls from the race circuit, including Gabby Keen and Bailey Goldstone. As well, Madison spent the entire day Saturday riding with her

Race day...more mud...and success
DAY Three - RACE DAY. An early start to the the day as we packed up the @DrivingForce Ford and checked out of the hotel by 7am. On "Dry Hill" for some practice laps first thing in the morning, then a 2-3 hour wait until the kids races. The wait was filled with hanging out, watching biking videos under the tent and prepping the muddy bikes for the race. Not much else to say, except that Coen ripped and held onto a top three spot for most of the race - ending in 6th spot after

Reprieve from the rain...but the mud was wild!
Day two of practice started early at 8am and we were ready for another muddy one. The bikes and clothes and shoes were finally dry and clean...dad was up until 11pm at the hotel laundry. Here's Madison taking an easy mud lap: Coen following coach, Rhys Ellis of ZEP Racing down some treacherous, steep, rooty, muddy trail. Nice line!

Oh yeah, it was pouring rain while we set up our day tent and unloaded for riding! Just before the sleet started! We knew what the weekend had in store. The kids road for 3 1/2 hours and were covered head to toe in

NW Cup #2 here we come
We headed off for our first major travel day today that saw us leaving YYC, stopping in Kamloops for a ride at the Bike Ranch and ending up in YVR for an overnight before heading out to Port Angeles, WA and NW Cup #2. First stop was at TIm Horton's for a quick bite in Canmore. Madison clearly excited...Coen...well, happy, we know. As you can see we were loaded up with our @Konabikes and ready to roll, in the Ford Expedition Platinum Edition provided by @DrivingForce. When at
