DAY SEVEN: Woke up to a beautiful California day. Finally out of the clouds and rain and most of all the long driving. Coen and I woke up with a goal to explore and ride around Santa Cruz. On our way to some XC riding, we stopped at Harvey West Park and trode a few laps on their awesome dirt jump track.
Next we headed to the XC trails near the UC Santa Cruz campus. Beautiful trails, but Coen, saddled on his DH bike was not happy as the first hour was basically all climbing. Good day for some cardio!
Next we were off to Monterey to register at the Sea Otter Classic and set up camp. Tomorrow morning we'd be headed out to pick up the ladies at SFO and bring them out to the coast. Hyped for the whole experience!
Coen and I we finally off the road for a while and settled in after travelling nearly 4,500 kms already. pitching a tent and staying put was exactly what we needed. Thanks to Driving Force we enjoyed travelling in comfort and space in the Ford Expedition they arranged for us.
